Path to a HDB Tai-tai: First day of Renovation!

Today was another milestone to note for my Goddess and the Horny Devil - it was the start of the renovation of their love nest!

My Goddess is very blessed to have a very good father-in-law (FIL). As an architect, he wanted to help out in their renovations so that they wouldn't spend unnecessary money on the ID and/or main contractors. So in the end, he helped them to do space and light planning, perspective drawing, detailed drawing of the carpentry. Basically everything you would find in an ID, minus the additional project management fees/ markups of subcon works.

Being so hands on, the FIL took leave to monitor their renovation for the whole day, though he didn't really have to. Furthermore, he is also tied down with a major renovation of his own house. **Super grateful**

Briefing the false ceiling worker 小勇 on what to do

And so work has started

And it's done, just waiting for the electrical wires to be pulled before the ceiling gets plastered in

The false ceiling in the living room could have been 3/4 completed today had the electrical workers not been so lazy. At 4pm, as they were missing a PVC capping, and so they couldn't proceed with what they were working on. When the FIL asked them to work on the hacking of the wall first to hide the wires which were rerouted to the switches, they replied that the works can't be done as they would take too long and they got to knock off at 6pm!

Colourful wires - do you still remember what we learned in primary school? One is for live (positive), one is for negative and the other earth (neutral) wire

Meanwhile, the other hardworking workers "小勇and his baby" (that's what my Goddess heard 小勇 called his partner) diligently worked on the other rooms

At the end of the day, the house was super dirty as the workers didn't bring enough cardboards to lay the whole house! Oh my 天, my Goddess cannot imagine the amount of cleaning they have to do after the renovation to make the place clean & liveable!
