And so, in our last few days of work, we took a day off to play in King's Dominion.
Usually, even employees have to pay US$25 to ride on it, but we were lucky that day.The supervisor there allowed us to ride it for free.
The ride brings the riders up to a few storeys of height and then releases them so that they go into free fall back and forth the structure like a pendulum - as if one is flying. It was sure a hell of a scary experience for me given that I hardly take any roller coaster rides in my entire life.
Getting ready...
Wearing...
And preparing...
And we're almost there!
The final lap - there's no backing out now...
Off we go!!!
And to the point of no return!!!!!!!!
Here are the pictures of all the other rides that are available in King's Dominion.
Clockwise from top left: Scrambler, Tomb Raider, Flight of Fear, Anaconda
Clockwise from top left: Scooby Doo and the Haunted Mansion, .. , Scooby Doo Roller Coaster, Carousel
Clockwise from top left: Sponge Bob 3D, Richochet, Shockwave
Clockwise from top left: Paramount Theatre, American Eagle, Avalanche, Italian Job
As you can see, this was the first time in my entire life that I took so many roller coaster rides before. I sat on everything except the Drop Zone (that brings you up to a super duper tall height and lets you free fall down), Hypersonic (it starts at hypersonic speed as the name says), Tomb Raider (it brings you round and round, as can be seen in the video, and I hate spinning round and round), and Berserker (this is really berserk as it is more than a viking. It brings you upside down and round and round.)
*Oscars Cafe fyi is the cafe for employees only.
Some random goofy pictures...
So many Sponge Bobs!
And back to our home - Waterworks!
Northside!
Clockwise from top: Tornado, Spiral Chute, Bhaja Bends, Shoot the Curl (Rides that I had worked on)
And Southside from top in clockwise direction: Pipeline Peak, Big Wave Bay, Splash House, Tidal Wave Bay And Little Barefoot Beach
And presenting to you - my baby. He goes swimming or should I say drowning around the waterpark, waiting for us lifeguards to save him.
