Charles & Keith.com

My Goddess shopped at Charles & Keith for the first time today. Why did she shop online when she can buy it off the stores, you may ask. Don't ask me why. She saw a bag in the stores that she really liked and wanted to check out if there are having it for sale.

This was the bag she saw and liked initially
Ended up she saw another similar looking bag which was on sale - $53.10!!

At first she was still hesitant. But when she accidentally added 2 bags into the shopping cart and the message came out that she can only order one as there's only the last one left, she clicked on the 'Buy' button immediately!

Thinking that she got a good deal - the initial bag that she had wanted to get cost $69.90, she was shocked that the price for her sale bag came up to $63! And the reason? $9.90 delivery charge! Why can't Charles & Keith be like ASOS or other popular US sites - free shipping within the country? Furthermore they don't have to travel far like across cities/states to send out the goods.

But oh well, since it was the last one and she needed a nude colour bag - her previous nude Mango bag started giving way about 1+ year after she bought it. The PU material is tearing off from the handle, and you can see the synthetic cotton inside. What's more, she isn't using it everyday. So much for the quality of Mango bags. Think this will be the last time my Goddess is getting a bag from there.

Seems like Charles & Keith bags are really popular. When my Goddess went to check out the first bag she wanted to get after she paid for her purchase, it was also stated sold out in the nude pink version too!

Overall, besides the exhorbitant delivery charge, shopping online at Charles & Keith was a good experience - the pictures are very well-taken, the layout very user-friendly and the search functions very comprehensive.

Saw a pair of shoes that's perfect for wedding!

If my Goddess was planning for her wedding, she'd definitely get this - super class & elegant! Goes well with the white gown, kua and cheongsam. Not very expensive for wedding shoes too - just $95.90.

These two pairs are also very clean-cut and elegant - suitable for evening gowns:
And these two looked like Cinderella's glass slippers. Suitable for those who are into fairy-tale weddings.
For casual wear, my Goddess prefers this - goes well with mini-skirts, shorts and maxi skirts/dresses, and especially good for petite people like her!
My Goddess has a weakness for open-toe kitten heels as they are feminine yet not too casual exposing the heels. Kitten heels are perfect for work, after-work party and wedding dinners! She's still contemplating if she should get this sexy lace pair cos she's got so many pairs of heels at home already! It's platform base, which means it has the height with lesser discomfort from the high arch. Furthermore it's on sale now at $39.10.

All in all, Charles & Keith designs are getting better, and of course the price higher, since they started off during my Goddess' secondary school days. But she will use this site more to check out the new designs available in Singapore before she goes down to the physical shop to try and buy in future, rather than buying online - unless they are waiving off the delivery charge/ the item she wants to get is the last piece.
