Christmas Light Up Tour

Thanks to Duck Tours, my Goddess had a chance to go out with her family. It's been a long time since the whole family went out. But of course, they left me out.. Boohoo...

The ride wasn't very exciting, but it was cooling to have the night wind blowing against their faces. Reminded my Goddess of those times she spent travelling in the states with the horny Devil.

The horny devil actually feel asleep!

Mewwy Cwistmas!!

Mewwy Cwistmas everyone!!!

Today has been a pretty exciting day for me and my Goddess. After a whole round of gifts exchange with her colleagues, she and the horny devil met up for lunch and then headed to Carrefour to shop for groceries for their dinner. It has been a long time since they last cooked a major meal together. Okay, maybe not so long since the last time they cooked a pretty major meal was in the States. I meant cook a meal together in Singapore then. It was like when they were in their third year in the varsity?!?

The bags of groceries

The Horny Devil at work

While I wait for the food to be done...

And finally done the food it was! They had a decent spread of steak and the Horny Devil's favourite potato salad.

And not to forget, there was alcohol accompanied for this festive season!

The receipe's gotten from Her World mag. Short of Chocolate syrup, the concoction tastes very nice!!

And then it was time for gift exchange!

And so coincidentally, my Goddess and the Horny Devil actually bought the same presents for each other. And no, they have not indicated any interests of this gift to the other party previously at all.

The attack of the VooDoo Dolls!

This is the first time my Goddess has received so many gifts. These are probably more than her entire lifetime of Christmas gifts that she has received! It was as if it was her 21st birthday all over again!

Thanks to all her wonderful colleagues and working partners!!

Not in picture: Mr. Bean wannabe Fossil bear from Fossil, 2 boxes of Royce (1 from her JC gift exchange, the other from her designer) & Lisa's letter 'P' which stands for Pang.

And of course, thanks to Daddy again for the wonderful camera! Otherwise these lovely pictures would not have be taken and this blog entry will be super boring with all texts alone.

The Best Christmas Present

My Goddess has just received one of the best Christmas pressies that she has gotten this year, or maybe even for her entire lifetime!

It's a Sony Ericsson P1i phone!

It's the coolest phone that she has ever had! It's super duper chio and has really exciting functions like touchscreen, handwriting recognition and business card scanner! And most importantly, there's her favourite radio and camera functions! What's more the camera's like 3.2 megapixels! Woohoo!!

Alright, I know I'm very suaku, like all the functions can be found in most phones, especially PDAs now. But still, both me and my Goddess are very much fascinated by it! She's still trying to get used to the QWERTY keyboard though.

So on behalf of my Goddess, I would like to thank Daddy for this wonderful Christmas gift!!!

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

My Goddess went to Chijmes to watch their movie again, this time - The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

This was a super old movie (4 years ago) and I know my Goddess abit outdated to only watch it now. But it's very mind-intriguing, in terms of its presentation of the scene and plot, but also the actual topic dealt with - the possibility for one to erase one's memory. Scary. I believe a memory is what makes a person, be it good or bad.

Though my Goddess used to hate literature, she is slowly beginning to appreciate the beauty of it, especially after reading Alexander Pope's poem, Eloisa to Abelard, mentioned in the movie:

How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd...

Anyway, this is a must watch for other 'suakus' out there like my Goddess.

My Goddess also went with the horny devil to catch Enchanted today.

It's a really hilarious movie! Another must-watch! And with all the scenes taking place at New York's Times Square, Manhattan and Central Park, I just can't help but be reminded of the happy times that my Goddess had in the States.

Movie Fridays at Chijmes

My Goddess and the horny devil went to watch free movie at Chijmes on Friday. It was "You've Got Mail". It was really romantic with the stars right above you and the beautiful Chijmes building background in front of you - almost like a magical fairytale. What's more, there's free popcorn, cushions and canvas sheet provided so you won't have to worry about sitting on the grass at all!

The two of them are definitely going down to catch "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" next Friday. Drop by if you can!

Otherwise you can also catch "Bewitched" or "Must Love Dogs" on subsequent Fridays, or "Moulin Rouge" on X'mas eve. A really unique way of spending the eve of Christmas with your loved one!

Tatler Best Restaurant Award 2007

Then on Thursday, my Goddess went to the most atas event she has been to - the Tatler's Best Restaurant Award at Raffles Town Club. The people there are those you see on Tatler and Peak magazine, all of high-society and super duper well-dressed with their cocktail dresses and gowns! My Goddess felt so out of place there! There were great wine, alcohol and jazz, and a display of simply scrumptious food who are supposedly the best few in Singapore, including Indochine, Tung Lok Group and Esmiridas!

All excited about the food that they are going to taste!

This was the first time my Goddess ever tried Tung Lok's Group food and also food like escargot and sashimi!

The place where they served the chewy escargot

The escorgot taste chewy, according to her, and if you don't think about it at all, you won't even know that you are eating snails at all!

Her partner Moey liked the sashima so much she actually went for 3 rounds of it even though she said she was full!

Super fresh salmon

Moey's third round of salmon!!!

As usual, after going through one round of a little of everything, my Goddess was full already. Too bad, if not she'd have gone for a second round of everything!

But this also reminds her that she has been having lots of good food for the past few days and many more days to come since its the festive period! This means putting on of weight!! Oh man, she had better watch her diet and exercise regime man! Luckily she just found out how to access the office's swimming pool so she's going to swim twice a week during lunch hours and run over the weekend so that at least she can maintain her 3 times a week exercise! Hopefully she can maintain such a lifestyle for as long as she can. She has been complaining to me since she starts work that she never has time for exercise and is getting fat with her once a week only run!

My Goddess' Colleagues

The past few days of the week has been quite 'happening' for my Goddess.

First there was the department lunch on Wednesday. Even though there weren't any dnd, this was a replacement for it (I guess). The food was not bad, so many varieties to choose from - so in the end she can only have a little of everything and she's full already!
Some picture of her and her colleagues...

All I want for Christmas...

... is the new T2 camera. Looks damn chio right? Wondering if I'm getting one, whether I should get the turqoise, lime green or white one. Pink is definitely out for me. It's simply too pink! Black is too boring. So any advice? Though one thing I don't really like the touch screen function. Seems cool at first. But it'll dirty the screen easily with all the fingerprints. And what if your hands are oily? Yew.. Prefer the usual press button method to navigate around. Maybe I'm too outdated.

Actually, if I can be greedy, I also want this super chio bag for Christmas!! Soooooo pretty!! But too bad it cost like USD$1,900 which is like $2,800 sing dollars. Weet, I can eat air and grass for the next 2-3 months then!
