Wedding Tips & Advice: Photography

Been wanting to pen this down for the longest time, but either I'm too busy or too lazy, lol. Well, a few things that happened recently that reminded me again to post these thoughts, somewhat to share with you my Goddess weddings and her hard work and thoughts behind it, and more importantly, to share with people who are reading this out there, some tips and advice on planning a wedding.

A wedding is the most special day in a girl's life.

Ok, maybe not too everyone, but most girls, like 90%? And that excludes pregnancy and giving birth cos that usually comes later.

So with that being said, everyone wants to have a unique and special wedding that represents the couple, and is owned by the couple. So moral of the story? Don't be lazy. Use some of your brain juices. If you don't have much of that, do some work and research. There's so many good resources out there that you can get inspirations from. Friends may be a good source of inspiration, but I would say, go beyond that. I'm sure you do not want to be seen in the same thing by common friends, lest to be called a pirate or a cat?

So here's to the main and most important part of this post. Some suggestions and advice on wedding ideas and resources:

Tip #1. Put in bits and pieces of elements that represent you and your husband-to-be.

The photographer may be really skilled. The background scenery may be truly stunning. But a picture is a picture is a picture. No matter how creative your photographer may be, he/she's only human and they will run out of ideas and start asking you to pose in pictures that he/she has used in other couples before.

So unless you want your picture to look like any other pictures taken, or your pictures easily forgotten by your guests since it's "just another wedding album". Just put in a little effort to think about what makes you and your partner special. It may be your quirky characters, the place that you both met, the place that he proposed. Anything that represents you.

(See Thoughts Behind the Shoot - http://littlewinniesworld.blogspot.com/2011/09/engagement-shoot-thoughts-behind-shoot.html for their pre-wedding shoot story.)

Or if there isn't any creative ideas that you can link to the both of you. Again, source for inspirations online. And where are my Goddess inspirations? Look out for Tip #2 which will be posted another day.

This also works for the actual day. Save down all the pictures that you really love and show it to your photographer on the actual day of the shoot so that he won't forget it. My Goddess has personally saved down 65 pictures that she loves. Some are used, some aren't.

This feet shot,

Was actually inspired by this.

And this shot

The above shot was another inspiration from this

And there are so much more inspiration bridal shots for Xiongdis & Jiemeis, couples and rings.

So do not give up on getting that perfect (you) shot.

wow, kowtow to you on the intensive research you did on wedding. Keep up on the great work on sharing tips! Though I can't use them anymore, kk, but I am sure Bride-to-be will find this very helpful!

Well my Goddess will do anything she can for her dream wedding at a budget. Her determination actually can be applied to anything that she sets her heart on. Plus it isn't much hard work, just need to add the wedding sites to Google reader n go thru it daily from the phone while on the go. The inspiring pics are just a 'saved' away.

You can use it for ur anniversary photoshoot maybe?
