By peacock makeup, I don't mean this.
Which is damn scary with the little dots.
Instead, what she's referring to is this!
Isn't this gorgeous?
The colours are really pretty ain't they? Really inspired by peacock colours!
And ever since the Christmas holidays, my Goddess has been ever more adventurous (and vain) about experiencing different kinds of makeup style. So, using the opportunity of her ex-colleague's wedding and her green dress, she decided to give the hottest makeup look of the season a try.
My Goddess didn't have the exact palette to the beautiful shades in the picture above - so she just has to make do with her very light green (not the model's lime green), blue (not the model's electric blue) and with some black (as she doesn't have midnight, dark/navy blue) to recreate a similar look.
So tada, here's her muted version of the look.
A closer look:
The greens is not very obvious in this pic. But think she could have done with more bright blues to match up with the colourful spring season.
And here's a comparison with another peacock look taken off the web:
And these are also so gorgeous! But think if she was to really put such strong colours to town, people will think she's a twin of Ruhua (如花)and not to her twin!
Some observations my Goddess has noticed when putting on this peacock makeup:
1. You need to lightly line your eyes with a black eyeliner. If no eyeliner is used, your eyes will look really small as they are lost in the sea of multi colours. Same goes for mascara. Coat on at least 2 layers of volume mascara. On the other hand, if too much eyeliner is used, you will look like you have been kena punched.
2. You might want to skip the falsies as you will look over dramatic like you just came out from a cabaret show.
3. Blend, blend, more blend and always blend! Then the colours will look seamless and not chunky.
So till the next time she tries out another colour/style, ciaos~
