Adventures at Legoland Malaysia (Another Picture-filled Post)

When Legoland was first opened, they did some roadshows to sell their early bird tix. Always game to explore new places, my Goddess purchased these tickets for herself, the Horny Devil and her friends.

Initially they intended to go during the school exam period, but due to their house reno commitments and later the Horny Devil's exams, they could only postpone it to last weekend.

Taking bus into Legoland was quite easy - they boarded the Causeway Link at Boon Lay MRT station bus stop/taxi stand area - where a lot of shuttle buses pick up workers from. This CW6 bus will bring you to Tuas Checkpoint. From there, you just need to hop on JPO2, the shuttle that will bring you to Legoland in just 15 minutes, and later loop to the Premium Outlet Mall. However, you do need to take note of the time. There's one at 8.30am and next one is at 10.30am. Missed it and you will have to find your own transport it. The shuttles at Woodlands Causeway is more frequent at half hour intervals, but the ride to Legoland will take you about an hour though.

The very colourful bus interior

As it was the school holiday period, the queue was snacking and horrendous! Luckily they've already pre-purchased the tics.

The day started out really hot and sunny!

Christmas was nearing then, and so there was the special lego Christmas tree!

Once in Legoland, the phototaking begins as all the pieces are made of lego!

Feeding time

Big kid

Little driving school for the kids

May I help you?

The weather was so hot that normally my Goddess don't use umbrellas under the sun had to take out hers. It really made a hell lot of difference!

When the boys saw the basketball shootout stall, they immediately paid RM50 for 3 tries. But the ball was too big and bouncy for the hoop it was impossible to score.

This Rescue Academy was quite a funny game.

You have to first pump the car to move forward.

Then after pump the water to 'put out' the fire before pumping the car back. You don't win anything out of this though.. purely for self-entertainment.

The 4 of them formed a team for this challenge.

Up & down and up & down

Queuing for Mummy adventure's right. Look at the long queue! The ride was just shooting of laser at target points.

It started to pour heavily while they were in the queue. Thankfully the queue was sheltered.

The lego decors along the queue

A shot before going on the ride
Lucky for them, the rain came to a drizzle, and the went for the 'Jurassic Park' water slide ride.

The four of them were having a challenge to see who looks the most cool in the picture. Think the Horny Devil wins hands down this time round.

Luckily there was a dryer to dry them up at RM5

This was the place where they had their lunch - pizza and spag. Super yucky! Don't go to this place for your meals unless absolutely necessary.

Another playground for the kids

Tower to view the Legoland
They decided to view one more 4D movie before lunch.

Looking like a Ninja here
The show was absolutely boring except for the snow part where they blew foam out. Other than that, USS was much better!

And yes, this was the yucky lunch that they had. The pasta was almost tasteless, the soup was watery. Any Campbell soup prepared by my Goddess would beat this!

Don't be fooled by this nice pic

This is how disgusting my Goddess felt after eating the food

This ride was really funny, too bad my Goddess didn't get to try.

You have to DIY and pull youself up, then let go to get the free fall ride.

This was another funny display. The catapult will make a 'creaking then release' sound when you step on it.

Then it was off to the most fun ride of the day.

While queuing for the ride, there was lots of photo ops.

Trying to imitate the pose

Winner of the imitation

A book made of lego

Look at the queue behind us

And that's the dragon roller coaster

Dragon school

It was pouring again after the ride, and so they had to seek shelter in the next nearest building. In this Einstein building, kids can build their own lego and play lego computer games

While it was still pouring, they decided to queue for the last ride of the day.

The decision was a good one as every one was hiding in the cafes during the rain, and so they were the first few in the line!

The beginning of the ride - a steep climb

The four-seater ride

The ride was rather thrilling. Think the two most fun rides were this and the dragon one. This time round, they decided to set themselves another challenge - to see who looks the most calm while doing the gun sign.

The Horny Devil wins again =_=

Legoland in Hollywood-sign style
Then it was pictures taking time while walking through the lego displays done in mini-Asia.

And some of the vehicles were automated. Wonder how that is done especially this is exposed to constant rain and sun.

A must take - the Horny Devil's profession
India had the people dancing to a Bollywood film, very cute!

The 2 massive lego structures
And the most impressive of all - KLCC Towers

I must save the Malaysia buildings were all very nicely done up - very life-like!

A concert in the park

The airport

And the legos were also very trendy!

Another construction site - hence caught the Horny Devil's attention

Then it was time to catch the shuttle bus back to head home.

Eating with the toilet man
The shuttle waiting area was a mess. There was no sign indicating which area is for which bus and no queue lines. In the end there was just a mass of people waiting and rushing to get up the bus. Luckily my Goddess, the Horny Devil and their friends were gungho enough to push back the crowd and got on the bus before most other people. The bus was already half filled as it had guests from JPO heading back to Singapore. A lot of people ended up not being able to get on the bus. I can only imagine their fate of getting on the next bus at 9.30pm. The bus they got on was 7.10pm. Imagine how late it would be by the time they get back to Singapore!

Overall, my Goddess' rating for Legoland - Just visit once and that's it. You can don't ever need to go there again. The place is totally not worth a second visit especially with the horrible shuttle bus service back to Singapore. Wonder who ever buys their annual passes?
